Foreword from the governor

It is my pleasure to extend my greetings of peace, love and prosperity to my beloved people of barangay Katiku in Pres. Quirino, Sultan Kudarat.

I commend your barangay officials for their brilliant and laudable move in creating the Barangay Development Council (BDC). BDC plays a key role in formulating informed and appropriate development plans, sound strategies and policies and in ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of the barangay projects and programs in five years that run from 2019 to 2023.

Your 5-year Barangay Development Plan (BDP) shows your brilliance and dedication towards achieving good governance. The projects and programs are planned in proper perspective with clear implementation timeframe. Moreover, the BDP already incorporates essential details of every development initiative including the budget sourcing, implementation arrangements and the line agencies you will involve.

Implementing the BDP is now your primary task in order to realize your development goals. BDC members are important part of the crew to support the Sangguniang Barangay. I am sure, your Barangay Chairman is now very inspired in performing his role as your pilot. Together, they will elevate your barangay to greater heights, especially in fostering genuine development and lasting peace.

You have just started but as your Governor, I am truly inspired by your achievements to date. I expect more and better things to come. I sincerely encourage you to be always united and cooperative in all your endeavors because that’s where you draw your collective strengths for the betterment of your barangay.
